There is better help output for available options, and miscellaneous bugfixes.
The Port Scan Attack Detector (psad) is a collection of three system daemons that are designed to work with the Linux iptables firewalling code to detect port scans and other suspect traffic. It features a set of highly configurable danger thresholds (with sensible defaults), verbose alert messages, email alerting, DShield reporting, and automatic blocking of offending IP addresses. Psad incorporates many of the packet signatures included in Snort to detect various kinds of suspicious scans, and implements the same passive OS fingerprinting algorithm used by p0f.
Release Notes: This release removes the Psad.pm Perl module and kmsgsd.pl and psadwatchd.pl scripts. In the previous scheme, psad imported its config with a function within Psad.pm, and this required that psad import the Psad Perl module before reading its config. A consequence was that the PSAD_LIBS_DIR var could not be specified usefully within the config file. The ability to recursively resolve embedded variables from *.conf files (with a limit of 20 resolution attempts) has been added. IGNORE_KERNEL_TIMESTAMP has been added so that Linux distributions that add a timestamp to all kernel messages (Ubuntu, for example) can be ignored.
Password Manager Daemon serves clients data via a Unix domain socket or over a remote TLS connection. The data is stored in an (optionally) encrypted XML file, and the client must provide the key to modify it. It has the option to use gpg-agent for key management (including smartcards). It is multi-threaded, allowing more than one client to be connected at the same time. Key retrieval may be done via a key file or a pinentry program. A key cache is used, so a client won't need to enter a passphrase each time one is required. It is very configurable. Libpwmd is also available as a separate project and is a library making it easy for applications to use Pwmd.
Release Notes: A library has been included in this release, making it easier to patch existing applications. libgcrypt is used for encryption and decryption, removing the GnuPG dependency. Shared memory file caching has been added. There are protocol updates and bugfixes.

Universal Password Manager (UPM) allows you to store usernames, passwords, URLs, etc. in an encrypted database protected by one master password. Its three strongest features are simplicity (it provides a small number of very strong features with no clutter), the ability to run cross-platform, and database sharing. Rather than having many separate databases (home, work, etc.), database sharing allows you store your database at a remote location (password protected HTTP URL, for example) and then have UPM automatically keep your local database in sync with the remote database.
Release Notes: This release adds Czech and German translations. It adds username and password fields to the HTTP proxy options. In the account information dialog, the password is masked by default. To view it, untick a checkbox. The French localisation has been removed (no French translator available). There are a few small bugfixes here and there.
