GNU libmicrohttpd is a small C library for embedding HTTP server functionality into other applications. It is reentrant, fast, supports HTTP 1.1, and permits listening on multiple ports. The API is simple and still powerful enough to allow programmers to use the entire HTTP feature set. SSL/TLS support is available as an option.
Release Notes: The connection handle is now passed as an additional argument to the URI log callback. Connection termination will now be signalled as successful if applications terminate a response stream early. MHD now releases an internal mutex before calling the termination callback, allowing clients to destroy the response object during the termination callback. This release fixes the implementation of the dual stack option. Dependency checks for OpenSSL and libcurl were improved. Build issues with OS X not supporting CLOCK_MONOTONIC were also fixed. The code is now compatible with libgcrypt 1.6.0.

libextractor is a library used to extract meta-data from files of arbitrary type. It is designed to use helper-libraries to perform the actual extraction, and to be trivially extendable by linking against external extractors for additional file types. The goal is to provide developers of file-sharing networks, file managers, and WWW-indexing bots with a universal library to obtain meta-data about files. It includes a shell-command and bindings for Java (JNI) and Python.
Release Notes: This release fixes (silent) IPC issues on slow machines which previously triggered a timeout resulting in incomplete meta data extraction. It also updates the Dutch translation, requires an external installation of libltdl, and fixes build issues with recent versions of libavcodec and libtidy.

Knotter is a highly configurable interlace designer. Interlace patterns are a kind of design historically used as a decorations in many places and by different cultures (some examples are Celtic knotworks and Islamic interlaces). Knotter aims to allow its user to design such patterns in an intuitive way and to provide easy ways to integrate the result into external general-purpose graphic software. For this purpose, designs created within Knotter can be saved in a custom human-readable format and exported as Scalable Vector Graphics and in a wide number of raster image formats.
Release Notes: This release adds more user interface customization, better style handling, and new plugins.
Pride combines bash scripts, zenity, ant, ImageMagick, and the Android tools to create a fast and simple POSIX alternative for Android development. It provides all the basic commands (clean, build, release, etc.) of other Android IDEs. But it is primarily a robust and simple injection framework. Injections from methods to clusters of activities are easily created from existing code and can then be injected into any project. Pride can also be used to batch build, load, or release multiple projects and can update class and resource files among projects that use the same objects or resources.
Release Notes: The PRAFIlehandler Class has been updated.

Duke is a fast and flexible record linkage engine. It does not use the traditional blocking (sort by key) approach, but instead relies on Lucene. This makes it high-performance (able to process 1,000,000 records in ~10 minutes). Duke can be run from the command line, but also has an API allowing incremental linking applications to be built easily. It supports reading data from CSV, JDBC, SPARQL, and NTriples, and also supports a number of string comparators and string normalizers.
Release Notes: The main new feature is a genetic algorithm, which can be used to tune configurations automatically. Thanks to active learning it can even be used without a correct set of test data.
Kcov is a code coverage tester based for compiled programs (C/C++, etc) and Python scripts. It uses DWARF debugging information to collect coverage information from binaries without special compiler options. It produces lcov-style output and only requires a single step, i.e. collection and reporting are done in one sweep.
Release Notes: Multiple bugfixes, especially to shared library code coverage. Debug info can now be found from the build-id. There were miscellaneous usability improvements.
RemoteBox is a graphical tool which lets you administer guests or virtual machines running under VirtualBox on a remote server or even your local machine if desired. You may, for example, have a root server on the Internet, a server at home, or a server at work running VirtualBox but want to have the convenience of managing the guests easily from your local machine. The virtual machines run in headless mode, which means you don't need an active graphical display on the server but you can still connect and view the displays of the guests. The goal of RemoteBox is to provide a GUI that should be familiar to VirtualBox users while allowing them to administer a remote installation of VirtualBox. It does this via the VirtualBox API and SOAP interface, which are exposed when running the VirtualBox Web service. You can also use RemoteBox simply as an alternative interface for managing VirtualBox on your local machine.

On Unix/Linux, a bug on extract with -p where empty directories were not set with the correct ownership and permissions was fixed. The libevent handler now loops to read/write as much as possible.
Kangas Sound Editor lets you synthesize sound effects and music effectively from scratch. Musical pitches are constructed using a system of frequency ratios, rather than the conventional equal-temperament notation. MIDI pitch numbers can be used to specify a base note from which other notes are relative. The user interface uses a system of cells or boxes, which are placed using drag and drop, and that have associated properties which describe various characteristics of the instrument, sound, or chord group. There is a kangaroo theme to this software.
Release Notes: In the Linux .jar file version, some bugs in the installation program that prevented a desktop shortcut to the Kangas Sound Editor from being successfully created was fixed.
