Both versions can be installed to a hard disk (and later updated to 4MLinux Allinone Edition, if desired). Automatic downloading and installing of some additional components (Opera 12.16, LibreOffice 4.0, SMPlayer 0.8.5, and Partition Wizard 8.0) is also possible.
Release Notes: The development target for this release has been defined as follows: the relatively small operating system (ca. 70 MB LiveCD) must include the newest stable Wine (i.e., 1.6), which should be able to run Mozilla software (Firefox 21.0, SeaMonkey 2.19, and Thunderbird 17.0.7) with Flash Player support enabled. 4MLinux 7.0 Allinone Edition BETA passes this test for many video cards (optional AMD and NVIDIA proprietary drivers can be downloaded from the 4MLinux website). The X Window System is based on X.Org Server 1.14.1, Mesa 9.1.3, JWM 2.1.0, and the FOX toolkit 1.6.49. Basic support for Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, and Slackware packages is enabled out of the box. Ethernet, WiFi (including WPA/WPA2), and dial-up (including fast USB modems) networking are supported. The size of the ISO image is about 50 MB.
