Release Notes: Afick will now work on Windows Vista/Seven with uac. Afick_cron now uses boune syntax instead of bash syntax. A bug has been fixed for activeperl 220.127.116.117. Remaining environment variables in the configuration file are detected/replaced by the check_config and clean_config options.
Release Notes: The checksum output is now compatible with md5sum/sha1sum commands. A bug was fixed on negative rules. The quiet option was added. The graphical interface now accepts database, history, and archive command line options.
Release Notes: A new configuration directive (only_suffix) was added to improve the scan's speed on operating systems like Windows. A new analysis command (test_ext) was added to display statistics on suffix extensions. The code can now detect if a file's modification date is in the future.
Release Notes: The code now works with perl 5.10. On Windows, afick_planning now sends a report instead of a summary and uses the "LINES" macro. On Unix, a new MOUNT macro allows you to use a remote database in afick_cron. Udev files were removed from scan. The tar.gz installer was recoded to display better diagnostics.
Release Notes: On Windows, the batch task (afick_planning) can now send the report by mail, if the MAILTO and MAILHOST macros are configured in the configuration file.
Release Notes: Support for syslog was added. The choice of database backend is now dynamic on init. Checksum will no longer change atime if it is allowed by the operating system. The post-install can use environment variables (used on Windows). The afick_cron script is now compatible with old Bourne syntax (ash). The auto-control was improved.
Release Notes: An "archive" menu (interface to afick_archive tool) was added to the graphical interface. Checksums are now skipped on empty files. A bug in the multi-line exclude directive was fixed. A bug in exceptions with globing and ignore_case was fixed. The Windows configuration file was updated.
Release Notes: A new tool (afick_archive) was added to manage archives. A new option (--check_update) was added to check for new releases. Installation scripts are now common for all packages (Debian, RPM, tar, Windows), and will improve software upgrades. Many bugs were also fixed, mainly on Windows.
Release Notes: The follow-symlinks parameter behavior has been inverted to match the documentation: during the first run on Unix hosts, users will have a lot of dummy warnings. A bug was fixed in the VERBOSE macro. The Windows packager has been changed from install creator to setup2go: Windows users should save the configuration file, uninstall the old release, and then install the new one (instead of upgrading).
Release Notes: Afick.cron was renamed into afick_cron so that it works on Debian, which does not allow cron file names that contain dots. The program can now be used by any user again. The config file can now be set with an environment variable, AFICK_CONFIG.
