Release Notes: The makefile system has been changed to allow one to omit the symlinks in the source tree, so everything can now be in the SCCS. There is a minor Cdda2wav code update to allow libcdio replacement testing.
Release Notes: A workaround was added for some Linux filesystems that do not deliver "." and ".." first with readdir(). The -x pattern was fixed not to exclude "." and "..". The "make install" target now installs the libscg include files into $(INS_BASE)/include/scg/. config.guess now supports the "free" Apple Darwin variants.
Release Notes: A bug in the (unused by cdrecord) L1 Reed Solomon coder from libedc was fixed. A first test version for an interactive cdda2wav mode was added. This mode is needed to avoid license problems in libcdio with GNOME GStreamer by using cdda2wav based code instead of libcdio.
Release Notes: A bug in the mkisofs graft -root code has been fixed. Some problems from a coverity code scan have been fixed.
Release Notes: mkisofs now supports importing multi-extent files (larger than 4 GB) from old sessions if in multi-session mode.
Release Notes: This is the final step to make libfind a "real" library. mkisofs again supports -no-bak. mkisofs again auto-adds a slash to the left part of a dir=orig/ graft point spec if the right side is a directory.
Release Notes: libsiconv/sic_nls.c has been modified to allow compilation with older GCC versions. cdrecord/readcd/cdda2wav now support an enhanced /etc/default/cdrecord file with an additional parameter to specify the maximum transfer size for a device. CDR_FORCESPEED=any now works for cdrecord to switch off DMA speed test results. cdrecord compiles again with a K&R compiler. A "blank emulation" layer has been added to the BluRay driver.
Release Notes: cdrecord now rechecks media sizes after a blank/format command to avoid problems with media size assumptions. cdrecord now implements a "blank" simulation for media that does not support the blank command (like DVD-RAM and DVD+RW). A bug in mkisofs with UDF files larger than 4 GB was fixed.
Release Notes: All speed limitations may be disabled by setting the environment variable CDR_FORCESPEED to "any". The drive buffer size recognition was changed so that cdrecord now shows correct size values even for the LG GSA-H55N. DVD-RW/DL may now be blanked. The "out-fd=descriptor" option was added to cdda2wav, and allows the user to redirect informational output to a file descriptor other than stderr. A core dump with mkisofs in the Joliet code caused by the new Apple UDF extensions is now avoided.
Release Notes: Cdda2wav now has new option, -start-sector, to start on an absolute sector number as a first step to allow cdda2wav to be used as a GStreamer plugin. The cdda2wav man page now lists all options. Libparanoia dynamic overlap setup now uses a correct start value.
