ConnochaetOS is a Libre GNU/Linux distribution for old computers, starting from a computer with a 586 processor, 64 MB RAM, and a 2 GB HD drive. It includes a full-featured WebKit-based Web browser, an email client, multimedia software, and office programs.

    Release Notes: This is a maintenance release. Many bugs were fixed. The default kernel was upgraded to Linux-Libre, many other packages were upgraded, and many security fixes were released.

      Release Notes: This is the first stable release. Since RC1, the installer was simplified, the kernel was updated to linux-libre, and the Web browser was updated to XXXTerm 1.485. Additionally, various bugs were fixed.

        Release Notes: All open bugs were fixed. X keyboard setup was added to the installer.

          Release Notes: Bugs and the installation were cleaned. The installer was simplified.

            Release Notes: UTF-8 is now used as the default encoding. GTK1 was dropped in favor of GTK2 (2.10). The pacman package manager is now used. Netsurf and Skipstone were included as Web browsers. Abiword 2.4.6 with the ODT plugin and Gnumeric 1.6.3 were included as office applications.
