dumbado is a program that captures packets transmitted over the network, (AKA a packet sniffer) and stores statistics based on them for analysis or debugging. It is based on libpcap, and therefore supports the same rich filtering expressions that programs like 'tcpdump' support.

New documentation about Dumbado 0.3 (GUI version) has been released in PDF format. Check it at BerliOS documentation site.
Release Notes: This release features a GUI interface with two screens. There is a capture screen where you can choose the preferred captured interface, write capture filters using tcpdump syntax, and specify how many packets will be captured. The statistics screen is a non-interactive screen showing capture statistics.
Release Notes: This release is just a concept design of a console-based application to test libpcap libraries. It is fully functional as a packet sniffer, but lacks some features and lacks a graphical user interface.
