Release Notes: This release adds the Maildir "filemode" parameter.
Release Notes: The keyfile and certfile parameters to SSL retrievers are now expanded for username and environment variables in the same way as other path parameters.

Release Notes: The delete_dup_msgids option has been added to non-multidrop POP3 retrievers. A stack trace in the getmail_fetch error message when a configuration error is detected is suppressed. Release Notes: Fixes a harmless copy and paste error in the IMAPRetrieverBase class.
Release Notes: Fixes logging import in corrupt messages with Python 2.3.
Release Notes: A bug in Python which meant that POP3-over-SSL with Python >= 2.4 could "hang" was worked around. This is exactly the same bug that affected getmail's initial IMAP-over-SSL code.
Release Notes: Adds a new POP3-over-SSL initialization class, which is automatically used when Python 2.4 or newer is in use. This reduces the overhead involved in retrieving messages from a POP3 SSL server (reduces systime about 35%, user time about 50%, and wall time 10-30%). A getmail_fetch configuration-less command line POP retriever has been added, which is perfect for scripting use. Relative imports within the getmailcore package has been eliminated.
