Release Notes: The software is now licensed under version 3 of the GPL. Bugs were fixed in parted and partprobe with the addition of a --dry-run option to partprobe. Read/write improvements were made for BSD, Amiga, and DASD disk labels. The testing framework was improved. Memory leaks were fixed. Ext2 fs creation was fixed. Initial support was added for 2K logical sector sizes for MSDOS disk labels.
Release Notes: This release fixes compile problems on certain platforms, corrects option parsing errors, fixes problems with script mode, and has other UI improvements.
Release Notes: This release addresses a problem with the linux-swap filesystem type. A change was introduced that created the linux-swap(new) and linux-swap(old) filesystem types. This change is still present in the development branch, but deemed not appropriate for the stable tree, so this release has reverted to the previous usage of 'linux-swap' as the filesystem type to maintain compatibility with other projects.
Release Notes: Missing po translation files were included.
Release Notes: Minor build-related bugfixes for the 1.8.3 release.
Release Notes: This release includes a number of major fixes in libparted, parted, and partprobe. HFS+ resize support has been added to libparted. There is support for reading from disks with a non-512 byte logical sector size on DOS disk labels in Linux, AIX disk label fixes, support for building on Hurd and OpenSolaris systems, correction detection and preservation of the starting location of primary Windows Vista partitions, and other code cleanups. The source tree has also been overhauled to work with current GNU developer tools and the GNU portability library (gnulib).
Release Notes: This release includes fixes for backtrace handling. In addition, libparted now dynamically allocates exception message space. The library also introduces a new function called ped_device_cache_remove() to remove a single device from the cache. The parted(8) command line tool has been improved. Zero size devices are now correctly shown as 0.00B rather than -0.00kB. The 'print list' command is an alias for 'print all', and 'mktable' is an alias for 'mklabel'. The 'print devices' command is new in this release.
Release Notes: This release addresses some bugs found in 1.8.0. There are mostly improvements to error handling and some commands in the parted(8) frontend program. ext2fs resizing has been temporarily disabled, and a reference to the resize2fs(8) has been added. SELinux linking capabilities can be turned on with the --enable-selinux configure option.
Release Notes: GPT disk label feature enhancements and bugfixes. IBM zSeries disk label support for DASD block devices. AIX disk label support. Geometry read problems on 64-bit systems have been fixed. Macintosh (PowerPC and Intel) disk label fixes. Support for binary units (KiB, MiB, and GiB). Support for /dev/mapper logical block devices via libdevmapper. Exception handling fixes and other error fixes. User interface improvements to the parted(8) interactive program.
Release Notes: Bugs in libparted related to linking, HFS, ext2, and the Mac disk label were fixed. A signal handling bug in parted was fixed.
