Release Notes: Precision in sound emulation was improved, with nearly no rounding errors over successive VBL during many hours. By default, 3 YM voices are mixed using a lookup table of values measured on real STF to improve digisoun (e.g. Flashback demo by TCB). An alternative CPU core is available, based on WinUAE for more accurate Falcon emulation, including 68030 timings and MMU. Improvements in DSP emulation were made. Various changes were made in the SDL GUI. Many more functions were added in the built-in debugger. An Atari program given as an argument to Hatari will be automatically started after TOS boots. Many more small fixes were made related to video, audio, and ikbd.

Of course I meant you have to move the binary file to a directory in your $path, not source file to /bin back there.

This is a really great piece of software. While the lack of proper autotools build system may at first make it look a bit amateurish (what I have to move the source file to /bin by hand after I compile it!), don't be put off. The code is the important thing, and I've been using Hatari to play 10s of old Atari ST games with very few problems at all. Excellent sound, speed and compatability. Great!

I recommend using the CVS version (writing this on 19/06/03), as it offers support for gzipped files.
