install4j is a cross platform Java installer that produces native launchers and installers for all major platforms. install4j offers an intuitive GUI that makes it easy to quickly define installation projects. A command line compiler and an integration for Apache ANT are included.

      Release Notes: This release adds more than 100 new features, including merged projects, handling of Windows user accounts, and layout groups in form screens.

        Release Notes: This release adds a new code editor with code completion and a code gallery with sample scripts. The distribution tree now supports separate file sets. Auto-update functionality and custom installer applications have been added. The configuration of screens and actions has been redesigned.

          Release Notes: This release adds significant new functionality, including a new screen and action system, configurable form screens, multi-language installers, console installers, net installers, 64-bit Windows support, and Windows Vista support. Multiple installation roots and "magic" folders are now supported. An installation component tree with optional component descriptions and dependencies has been added. Pack200 compression can be applied to all JAR files. install4j is now extensible with a JavaBeans-based component model.

            Release Notes: This release adds optional LZMA compression, different ways to set the file modification times of installed files, and a VM parameter file on Unix. On Mac OS X, installers are now created as DMG files. Windows launchers have now got all new features from the exe4j 3.1 release.
