Release Notes: LVM support, correct support for machines with very large memory, and refinement to the bios data collection (required for automatic bios device code determination) were added. The diagnostic utility disk was revamped. A new RAID1 implementation that is not compatible with version 21 was added. Those using version 21 should read 'README.raid1' before installing the new version.
Release Notes: Version 22.1 is a major update. Password CRC-32 polynomials are superseded by 160-bit SHS digests, which are cryptographically secure. RAID1 codes are updated to fix a problem encountered on skewed raid installations in booting "other=" sections. A compilation option allows for specification of more kernels. A graphical user interface using VGA 640x480x16 (mode 0x12) is added. RAID1 codes are completely re-written, and correctly implement 'lock', 'fallback', and "lilo -R ..." NB: The 22.0 RAID1 implementation is not compatible with version 21.
Release Notes: Be sure to read the 'lilo-22.0.2.announce.txt' file for RAID1 cautions.
Release Notes: A fix for a password security hole to create 'lilo.conf.crc' with mode 0600 (not 0644).
Release Notes: A graphical user interface using VGA 640x480x16 (mode 0x12) has been added. Secure passwords have been implemented using four CRC-32 polynomials. RAID1 codes are completely re-written, and correctly implement 'lock', 'fallback', and 'lilo -R'. The new RAID1 implementation is not compatible with version 21. Those using version 21 should read 'README.raid1' before installing these new codes. There is a compatibility mode for existing RAID1 installations which are not going to be converted to the new implementation.
Release Notes: This is a beta release only, and includes significant reworking to the password facility to enhance security with interactively entered passwords, completely different behavior for Raid1 installation with a compatibility mode to use the old behavior, and a boot loader which supports a 640x480x16 bitmapped startup screen.
Release Notes: Boot installer, a fix for DAC960 partition mask Chain Loader, and reversing map device code if "map-drive" is in effect.
Release Notes: A warning is now issued when CHANGE AUTOMATIC is to be inserted in the boot installer, and a fix for a password timeout security hole which allowed booting without entering the password has been resolved in the boot loader.
Release Notes: A buffer size problem in the device cache code, and a bugfix for the RAID/MBR name association (still doesn't quite work with devfs) mark this release.
Release Notes: Version 21.7 adds support for higher serial line rates and fixes a few minor problems discovered in release 21.6.1.
