Release Notes: This release adds remote queuing for better downloading, the ability to resume from incomplete files, better download meshes leading to better swarming, safer resumes of files, internationalization which now works on the Mac Classic, significantly better translations (Japanese, Chinese, German, etc), and updated default GWebCache locations for distributed connections.
Release Notes: "Browse Host" is back. There are parallel connections on downloads, and full support for the "Hash/Urn Gnutella Extension (HUGE)". It's a first step towards a "Content Addressable Network (CAN)". Bitzi metadata lookup allows you to get more information about files. German and French versions are available. The downloader now checks for corrupt files by looking at overlapping regions. Shared files are loaded more quickly on startup. This release connects to the network more robustly, has installer improvements to save your setting across installs, has full support for HTTP HEAD requests, and throttles outgoing bandwidth for ultrapeers.
Release Notes: By holding multiple ultrapeer connections, much better search results are now obtainable. Gnutella version 0.6 connections pass both ultrapeer and non-ultrapeer addresses. The default number of connections was increased from 2 to 4. Leaves with multiple ultrapeer connections do not forward traffic to ultrapeer. The number of leaf nodes per ultrapeer was increased from 50 to 75. Slower results are no longer dropped, giving the user more swarming sources. The "rich query without schema" assertion failure was fixed.
Release Notes: Swarming downloads from multiple hosts helps you get files faster, a new Ultrapeer technology reduces bandwidth requirements for most users and allows broader searches for rare content, more accessible chat, a new option to auto-shutdown after file transfers are complete, more sources for file downloads based on better file grouping, dynamically allocated upload slots, a simplified interface with the ability to suppress tabs, a new Buy button that allows you to purchase products related to your download, and a PRO version available without ads.
Release Notes: Ability to send and receive rich queries for more precise category-specific searching (XML Metadata), an integrated MP3 player with WinAmp-style playlist support, and an ability to add category-specific information to your files.
Release Notes: This version features the ability to chat with other LimeWire users with whom you are transferring files, a major speed increase, improved download performance, faster auto-connect at startup, and an improved options screen.
Release Notes: Dramatically improved speed and stability. Resume function will now re-use an incomplete file when that file is searched for and downloaded again. Measures speeds of remote hosts. Files can now be 'previewed' while they download. Improved push uploads and downloads. Improved BearShare QHD compatibility. Now restores window size on startup.
Release Notes: New quality column rates search results on a four-star scale, downloads are not lost on shut down and automatically attempt to resume on startup, protecting users from viruses and gives exe file warnings, faster result grouping and start-up for users sharing many files, better browser and media player integration on Windows, more powerful auto-update option, more detailed upload reporting, the upload resume feature is more compatible with older clients, and fixes for upload reporting and push attempts.
Release Notes: This release includes the ability to automatically update software, a faster connect method, smarter and more aggressive downloading, fixes so resume works "across hosts" both automatically and manually, viewing of the incomplete directory via the Library is now possible (although it is not shared) and partial files remain in the incomplete directory if download fails, more aggressive promotion of incoming connections, tighter and more usable GUI real-estate, overall performance improvements when sharing many files, a fix for the zero speed bug in the smart downloader, and a fix for a Java 1.2.2 and 1.3 bug on smart downloading also.
