Release Notes: New features include ultra-short-term rescheduling, new statistics, three sided cards support, new synchronization policies, configurable skipping behavior, flashcard printing, an overhauled settings dialog, and much more.
Release Notes: OpenCards will now perform an auto-synchronization on changes, insertions, and deletions of slides while being in learning mode. To optimize the learning success, the keyboard control interface was streamlined to use the arrow-keys only. Additionally, files are now scheduled based on their mean "learn-urgency". Common drag'n'drop operations were implemented for the LTM-Manager. Optional automatic recursing into child categories was added for the LTM-Manager. Major performance improvements and various minor stability and usability improvements were made.
Release Notes: Importing of flashcards was implemented. The long-term learning manager was simplified and the underlying long-term learning algorithm was further tuned towards higher retention rates. The overall stability was improved by taking more care of OpenOffice events. OpenCards will now detect changes in card-sets automatically. The user interface for last-minute-learning was completely overhauled. A wiki was started on www.opencards.info, which allows users to share their flashcard files with other users.
Release Notes: OpenCards became fully integrated into the OpenOffice menu structure. Flashcard category management was implemented. Two new presentation modes were added (random reverse and both sides independent). In order to ease long-term memorization, a graded long-term memorization scheduling algorithm was integrated. Additionally, the short-term memorization model was improved.
Release Notes: Card-side reversing was implemented. A configurable Leitner system is used. The learning algorithms were improved. Auto-update (using the OpenOffice extension manager) was enabled. Presentation specific persistent learn-settings were added. Keyboard mappings were added for learn-dialog. Global settings may be managed. Localizations were added for English, German, and French. A bug-report dialog is shown in case of exceptions. The Java6 dependencies were removed. This is fully compatible with the coming OpenOffice 2.3.
Release Notes: This release features Leitner flash card learning and different learning strategies, as well as persistent session states. It is not ready for production yet. Although it should be reasonably stable, it might crash OpenOffice or corrupt your presentation files or your OpenOffice settings.
