Orfeo Toolbox (OTB) is a high resolution remote sensing image processing library. It contains a set of algorithmic components which allow the user to capitalize on methodological know how, and therefore use an incremental approach to profit from the results of methodological research. OTB is made of a set of basic elements (a C++ class API) and utilities (independent programs built upon the base API).

Release Notes: This is a major release which provides compatibility with ITKv4 (internal or external). The authors took advantage of this major change in OTB to do some code cleanup. The main objective was to reduce the number of dependencies of the library and focus on functions which make OTB a useful library for remote sensing image processing.
Release Notes: This release is a minor bugfix release. It especially reworks the JPEG2000 driver to decrease the cache consumption and avoid memory leaks.
Release Notes: This release redesigns the architecture of the machine learning framework, uses this new framework to include OpenCV machine learning algorithms, adds Dempster-Shafer-based fusion of classifications, improves the StereoFramework application, and provides access to Gdal overviews.
Release Notes: Manages GDAL driver options and sesor metadata through extended filenames. The framework for residual registration is based on improvements in the sensor modeling geometry. Feature extraction applications, fusion of classifiers, classification regularization, and one-click DEM generation from a stereo image pair.
Release Notes: 21 bugs have been spotted and fixed since the last major release.
