This project provides a minimal extension for PHP's PDO (PHP Data Objects) class. It is designed for ease-of-use and reducing development time and effort. This is achived by providing methods - delete, insert, select, and update - for quickly building common SQL statements, handling exceptions when SQL errors are produced, and automatically returning results and number of affected rows for the appropriate SQL statement types.
|Implementation||MySQL SQLite postgresql|
Release Notes: When an SQL error occurs, this project will send a formatted (HTML or text) error message to a callback function specified through the setErrorCallbackFunction method. The callback function's name should be supplied as a string without parenthesis. An internal/built-in PHP function or a custom function you've created can be supplied. The debug function is now private and automatically called within class.db.php.
Release Notes: This project now extends PHP's PDO class, as opposed to referencing a PDO object as an attribute. This strategy allows developers to use the functionality built into PHP's PDO utility directly from the project's database class.
