Project Pier is a self-hosted PHP application for managing tasks, projects, and teams through an intuitive Web interface. It will help your organization communicate, collaborate, and get things done. Its function is similar to commercial groupware/project management products, but allows the freedom and scalability of self-hosting. With the JumpBox for Project Pier it just takes a couple minutes to get a fully functional Project Pier installation to help you manage your projects. This JumpBox is based on the 1.1 JumpBox Platform and includes a backup system that supports archiving the state of the JumpBox to NFS, Windows File Shares, and Amazon S3.

Release Notes: A unique SSL certificate for the JumpBox Administration Portal is generated on initial boot. The expiration date of the self signed certificate is 10 years from initial boot. An issue that complicated moving the JumpBox to a new directory with VMware has been resolved. Portability is still complicated by snapshots and suspends. Consider trying the JumpBox backup and restore tools where possible.
Release Notes: This JumpBox is now running on the production release of the v.1.1 platform, and includes several enhancements. Most notably, this includes built-in automated backups to Amazon S3, integrated Web stats for the application, a GUI-based SSL cert configuration tool, a GUI-based method for configuring an email relay, and an update of the underlying OS to Ubuntu Base 8.04 LTS.
Release Notes: ProjectPier has been updated to 0.8.0.2.
