Python Community Server is a free replacement for Radio Community Server. It features a miniature application server, with an embedded almost-OO database and a very quick script handler.

Release Notes: This release includes an init.d script and runs as a proper daemon with the aid of daemonize.py. The installer was tidied up, and the number of steps required to install was reduced .Support for basic HTTP authentication and the ability to log in and delete comments from your blog was also added.

Release Notes: PyCS now supports URL rewriting (a la mod_rewrite in Apache) and virtual hosting, so you can host a number of domains off a single IP address without needing to hack around with Apache as much as before. The comment system has been upgraded to return RSS summaries of comment threads on demand. This means you can subscribe to a comment thread in a news aggregator (Radio, AmphetaDesk, FeedReader etc) and receive announcements when people post comments.
