Release Notes: DSP load percentage is now displayed on the system tray icon tooltip. A Connections/Patchbay tooltip crash has been fixed. The system tray option is now featured on most platforms, including Windows and Mac OS X. QProcess class usage has been refactored, giving tighter control over the jackd(mp) process. The downside is the ability to leave the process detached upon quitting was lost. The RT indicator now blinks when started/active. Combo box history persistence has been corrected. Experimental support for jackdmp on Win32. All connections items are now naturally sorted in ascending order by default.
Release Notes: Many subtle bugs were fixed, but the main focus of this release is that Qt4 migration was completed. The "firewire" audio backend driver option is included.
Release Notes: JACK MIDI support is now being introduced. The connections window has a brand new MIDI tab, with the older being renamed to ALSA, for ALSA/MIDI sequencer convenience. The server settings includes the MIDI driver setup option.
Release Notes: The default settings for the freebob backend have been fixed. The CPU Load status label now correctly says DSP Load. The most recently used patchbay definitions can now be correctly selected in round-robin fashion from its drop-down list widget. JACK MIDI ports are no longer listed with regular audio ports on the Connections and Patchbay widgets. The 192k sample rate was added to the setup settings drop down list. A minor problem was fixed where most top-level widgets were missing the normal-widget flag.
Release Notes: The display of main window buttons and/or text labels display is now optional. The post-shutdown script is now also called when using the Stop button. The most relevant transport commands (Rewind, Play, and Pause) are now made available on the main window context pop-up menu. Initial freebob backend driver support was added. The coreaudio backend driver command line device name/id parameter was changed. The default maximum number of ports setting was changed from 128 to 256. A Win32 build should be now possible. All window captions can now be set smaller as tool-widgets.
Release Notes: Server path setting now accepts custom command line parameters. Internal XRUN callback notification statistics and reporting have been changed to be a bit less intrusive. Connections and patchbay line coloring has changed just slightly. A new patchbay socket forwarding feature was added: any patchbay socket can now be set to have all its connections replicated (i.e. forwarded) to another one, which will behave actively as a clone of the former.
Release Notes: ALSA sequencer client/port name aliases are functional again. All actual MIDI sequencer client/port numerical identifier prefixes are also back in business.
Release Notes: Connection and patchbay views are now properly refreshed after renaming client/ports (aliases), and they are allowed to have wider and persistent splitter panels. System tray icon and ALSA sequencer support is now disabled at configure time whenever building for Mac OS X. Some major issues were fixed when selecting an audio interface on Mac OS X. Patchbay activation toggling feedback has been fixed. The most recently used patchbay definitions can now be loaded immediately by selecting from a drop-down list widget. The current selected device is now shown with a checkmark on the device selection menus.
Release Notes: A freezing and endless loop condition on the patch bay socket item duplication (copy) has been fixed. Output disability when the messages limit option is turned off has been fixed.
Release Notes: Systemic I/O Latency settings are now featured for the ALSA, OSS, and CoreAudio backends, letting you specify the known latency of external hardware for client aware compensation purposes. Update on last backstage changes to the coreaudio backend options.
