The Remote Microscope system consists of a server that manages the microscope and handles TCP connections, and Java-based client software that allows users to control the microscope. Currently the server software supports two different Leica microscopes, and two image acquisition devices.

Release Notes: Many enhancements to the Tkinter client, rearranged directories into a sane layout, and repackaging to use the Distutils for installation.
Release Notes: The server code was modularized so that it can support multile driver modules. Support for the Leica INS1000 microscope and the PXC-200 frame grabber was added. The Java client's performance was improved. An early snapshot of a Python/Tk client that's faster than the Java/AWT client is now included. Various minor UI improvements and bug fixes were made.
Release Notes: Lots of bugfixes and improvements: the Z-axis can now be adjusted for manual focusing, the server is much more stable and a bit faster, double buffering implemented in the client, client applet now works on Macs and MSIE 4.0.
Release Notes: Mostly a bugfix release, which fixes the various problems that turned up after a demonstration microscope was made available over the Internet.
