There is SafeSearch support for the new Google API. ufdbGenTable now strips starting and trailing spaces from URLs. ufdbhttpd gives now more details on the error page. The minor fix is for a more graceful exit when stopped with /etc/init.d/ufdb. ufdbGuard has also been ported to OpenBSD.
Release Notes: This release has various fixes for crashes of ufdbguardd and an occasional problem with SSL certificate verification. Large configuration files caused random syntax errors, and on some Linux systems ufdbguardd was aborted due to a double free in the OpenSSL library. The automatic configuration is changed and resolves an error when byacc is installed. SafeSearch can now be configured on a per-ACL basis. ufdbConvertDB is a new utility to convert a flat file URL database to the ufdbGuard file format. ufdbAnalyse does a sanity check for the email address.
Release Notes: This version has fixes and new functionality for verifying HTTPS/SSL sites. ufdbGuard now correctly verifies SSL certificates of certificate chains and extended validation certificates of HTTPS sites, has a new option to block the unsafe SSLv2 protocol, and more capacity to verify HTTPS sites faster. The readability of the log file is improved. There is much faster database load time on Solaris when libumem is used. ufdbGenTable has a new option (-s) to apply sanity checks on URLs. A warning is issued when ufdbGenTable is required to run (i.e. domains is newer than domains.ufdb). SafeSearch for Google images is fixed (the Google URL has been changed). Building on Solaris for ufdbgclient is fixed.
