Release Notes: The new Sarg Squid access reporting module was added. All core modules were updated to no longer output <hr> lines at the top and bottom of every page. Support for NFSv4 was added to the Disk and Network Filesystems module. Support for MD5 encryption for Webmin passwords was added, to avoid the 8-character effective password length limit. The BIND module can now create and edit delegation-only zones. A security problem that can occur at installation time if the /tmp/.webmin directory has already been created by a malicious user was fixed. Expired passwords are now detected when using PAM.
Release Notes: The BSD Firewall module was included for configuring IPFW on FreeBSD and OS X systems, and the Frox FTP Proxy module was added for setting up a transparent FTP caching proxy. Support for doing multi-tape backups and for the TAR format was added to the Filesystem Backup module, including automatic notification via email when a tape needs to be changed. The Linux RAID module was modified to work with MDADM commands as well as the standard RAID tools. Mail reading support was removed from the Sendmail, Postfix, and Qmail modules, as these features were consolidated into the Read User Mail module.
Release Notes: This release adds the Read User Mail module, which separates the mail reading functionality from the mail server modules, and the Cluster Change Passwords module, for updating Unix passwords on multiple systems at once. It improves the BIND module to allow editing of user-defined record types, adds an option to the Perl Modules module to have dependencies automatically downloaded and installed from CPAN, and adds support for SMB filesystems on FreeBSD and CIFS on Linux to the Disk and Network Filesystems module. The File Manager module can now download and upload directories in ZIP archives.
Release Notes: This version adds a Log File Rotation module, for configuring logrotate, adds the ability to compress MySQL and PostgreSQL backups, and includes the beginings of a new ui-lib.pl library for generating common Webmin UI elements. The Disk Quotas module can now display in kilobytes instead of blocks, on systems when the block size is known. There is better MD5 encryption handling in the Users and Groups module, including support for FreeBSD. The Users and Groups module now works out UIDs and GIDs at creation time, rather than when the new user or group for is displayed.
Release Notes: This version adds a SpamAssassin mail filter module, and a protected Web directories module. It includs support in the MySQL and PostgreSQL modules for scheduled backups. The Cluster Webmin Servers module can now be used to synchronize Webmin users and groups across multiple servers, and to upgrade several servers at once. There is now the ability to listen on multiple IP addresses and ports. Buttons were added to the Bootup and Shutdown module for enabling or disabling multiple actions at boot time.
Release Notes: This version added Change Language and Theme, Cluster Cron Jobs, and Cluster Shell Commands modules. Trustix 2.0 is now supported, and the SuSE 8.2 support was improved. New features in Squid 3 are now supported. A bug that caused form submission to fail in IE was fixed, and a feature was added to the Users module for automatically hiding modules not appropriate to your system. The Samba module was updated to support editing of users and groups under Samba 3. Support for special Vixie Cron time periods like @daily and @reboot was added to the Scheduled Cron Jobs module.
Release Notes: A new LDAP Users and Groups module for managing Unix users in an LDAP database, a new IPsec VPN Configuration module for setting up FreeSWAN, porting the Network Configuration and Disk Quotas modules to Mac OS X, and fixes for problems with the File Manager. Group sychronization was added to the Disk Quotas module so that quotas can be defined for new groups. An option was added to the MySQL module that allows large BLOBs to be uploaded and download instead of being edited directly. The setup.sh script was also improved to take an installation directory parameter.
Release Notes: The new PPP Dialup Client module for dialing up to an ISP with WvDial was added. The new PPTP VPN Client and PPTP VPN Server modules were added. The Postfix module was updated to support Postfix version 2. The Samba module was updated to support editing of Samba 3 groups. Group synchronization support was added to the Users and Groups module. The Sendmail, Qmail, and Postfix modules were improved to support moving email between user mailboxes, and to prompt for confirmation before deleting mail. Bulgarian language support was added for some modules, and the Catalan language translation was updated.
Release Notes: An ADSL Client module was added for configuring RP-PPPoE. An Upload and Download module was also added. Chinese translation updates were made, and support for Red Hat 9, SuSE 8.2, FreeBSD 4.8, and Slackware 9.0 was added. The Network Configuration module was improved to support Red Hat-style per-interface gateway specifications and to allow the current configuration to be applied. Support for external ACL types was added to the Squid module along with an option on the Webmin Modules page for easily installing a standard module. All modules that can download from URLs now support https:// URLs.
Release Notes: A serious security problem that allowed unauthenticated remote access to Webmin was fixed. Support for find and replace and goto line were added to the File Manager module's editor. Init scripts created by Webmin on Linux now start in runlevels 2, 3, and 5, instead of just the current runlevel. A bug that caused problems when logging in on Mac OS X and stopped Java applets from working under IE was fixed. An ACL option was added in the Sendmail module to control which domains can be seen in the mail queue. A mode was added in the Webmin Servers Index to prompt for a logging when connecting to a server.
