PICI-NMS is an object oriented middleware which makes possible sending messages in a networked environment or on a single host between applications using the library provided. The supported message sending mechanism is "publish/subscribe" and this is backed up by a very easy-to-use and intuitive C++ API which hides the underlying socket interface to make the message sending as transparent to the client as possible.
Rspamd is an anti-spam system designed to work faster than SpamAssassin by using the event model and various optimizations. Its most important features include regexp and Lua rules for filtering different parts of messages, a number of built-in functions for analyzing messages, fuzzy hash support, SURBL filters, email and character table support, a control interface for remote managing and stats gathering, a Lua plugin system, statistics support (OSB/Bayes), and an AJAX-based Web interface.
slm4j (Starschema License Manager for Java) is a simple and easy-to-use license file generator and validator package for Java programs. It includes a command line tool for generating private and public keys for cryptographic signing, and a runtime class (or jar module) to validate the generated keys. The signed data is an ASCII armored file, which could store date or time limitations, functionality restrictions, or any user specified strings. The embedded license file validation ensures that file is not modified by using the DSA algorithm.
SpamCheetah is a network-level spam filtering solution built around OpenBSD greylisting, tarpit, and blacklisting. It comes with a Web interface and requires zero administration. It does not allow spam to even land in your network, thus saving you precious bandwidth. It does not have the 'false positives' problem of losing legitimate mail.
The FIX message viewer is a set of Ruby scripts that parse FIX (Financial Information eXchange protocol) messages to display them in a more human-readable format. The viewer can only parse FIX messages in a file or from STDIN. It also expects a full FIX message on each line. The FIX message can be prepended with a timestamp, but this will be ignored. The output is colored to make it easier to read, and the MsgType field is highlighted. The log viewer works on the command line only, and requires that Ruby is installed.
Roster is DNS management software for use with Bind 9. It is licensed under the BSD license. It is written in Python, and uses a MySQL database with an XML-RPC front-end. It contains a set of command line user tools that connect to the XML-RPC front-end. The config files for BIND are generated from the MySQL database, so a live MySQL database is not needed. The software has four basic components. The core includes the database interface and core API, and contains the authorization layer. The server is an SSL enabled multi-threaded XML-RPC server. It also contains the LDAP authentication layer. The config manger creates BIND config files using the core API, and handles pushing the files to their appropriate servers. The user tools contain over 20 tools to create, list, and remove records, zones, views, DNS servers, DNS server sets, groups, users, and the assignments between them all. There is currently support for views, many DNS servers in many configurations, IPv6, user/group authorization, LDAP authentication, and Unicode hosts.
Palm-Strip-Export is a utility to export your legacy PalmOS Strip databases to simple CSV files. Once your databases are exported you can print them, open them in Excel, or import them into a separate program. Most importantly, these export files will be directly importable to the iPhone when the desktop sync tool is released. This exporter only works with Palm Strip 2.0 databases.
