Gsecraif is a tool for splitting and recombining files in a secure manner. It addresses two aspects of security: protecting against data loss and guarding against unauthorised access. It splits a file into three or more equal sized parts (component files), up to a maximum of 255. The utility can recover the original file even if one of the component files is lost. It uses XOR (RAID 5) technology. None of the component files contain any data from the original file. It can split any kind of file and uses no encryption.
DerMixD is an audio mixing and network-listening daemon that is similar to mixplayd but quite different in its implementation. It supports the playing of music files on a run-time configurable number of input channels, mixing them together and producing output on a run-time configurable number of output channels. It is controlled over a UNIX domain or TCP socket and supports scripting, gapless playing of tracks, including filtering of null samples from padding, use of mpg123's simple equalizer or a range of effects (mainly via LADSPA), flexible input/output connection, changing playback speed, and more.
Wing IDE is a software development environment for Python. It provides powerful editing, code intelligence, refactoring, testing, debugging, and search capabilities that reduce development and debugging time, cut down on coding errors, and make it easier to understand and navigate Python code.
Cego implements a relational and transactional database system with support for the SQL query language. The current release contains the most common database features for basic table manipulation and data retrieval. Indexes, foreign keys, views, and stored procedures are also implemented. Future releases (2.0 and above) will support a multi-node database concept with log file shipping for an automatic database application failover.
Dar is a shell command that makes backup of a directory tree and files. Its features include splitting archives over several files, DVD, CD, ZIP, or floppies, compression, full or differential backups, strong encryption, proper saving and restoration of hard links, extended attributes, file forks, Door inodes, and sparse files, remote backup using pipes and external commands (such as ssh), and rearrangement of the "slices" of an existing archive. It can run commands between slices, before and after saving some defined files or directories (for a proper database backup, for example), and quickly retrieve individual files from differential and full backups. Several external GUIs exist as alternatives to its CLI interface, like kdar, DarGUI, SaraB, etc.
The Objeck computer language is an object-oriented computing language with functional features that has ties with Java, C#, and Pascal. In this language, all data types are treated as objects. The language consists of a compiler and VM with an accompanying memory management and JIT compiler.
