Webfwlog is a Web-based firewall log reporting and analysis tool. It allows users to design reports to use on logged firewall data in whatever configuration they desire. Included are sample reports as a starting point. Reports can be sorted with a single click, or "drilled-down" all the way to the packet level, and saved for later use. Supported log formats are netfilter, ipfilter, ipfw, ipchains, Cisco routers, Snort, and Windows XP. Netfilter support includes ulogd MySQL or PostgreSQL database logs using the iptables ULOG or NFLOG target.

Webnotify is a console program that is able to check for specific Web site changes, and run a user-selectable program when some site change is detected. This could be easily done with a bash script and a collection of programs, but if you would like to manage a list of Web sites or add support for pre/post actions, page filtering before checks, etc., it could be harder to maintain. The idea behind webnotify is to gather all the extra programs and the bash script in one piece.

Webplay creates, from a collection of MP3s and Ogg Vorbis files (indexed from a directory or MySQL/PostgreSQL database), a Web-based jukebox with support for multiple independent streams. If Lame/oggenc are available, it can change the bitrate or codec of a file in real time to a selectable value. Each user controls their stream via a Web interface and can skip back, forward, or to a specific track; increment or decrement the bitrate; and check the current playlist, song, or bitrate. Playlists can be looped, randomized, played locally on the webserver, edited, deleted, reused, or renamed.

This is a project to create/maintain webportfwd. Webportfwd is a program which listens on specified ports for incoming HTTP requests. When requests come in, it replies back with a redirect to tell the browser where the real URL lives. This allows one machine to receive multiple HTTP connections to multiple ports, and depending on the port contacted, it will reply with the URL for the service that the user expects to find on that port. The ports it listens to and the URLs it sends out are stored in a text configuration file.

The currently supported backend tools are Ganglia, Cerebro, and Pingd (which can be downloaded as a subpackage of Whatsup). The curently supported cluster databases are genders, gendersllnl (a locally supported LLNL version of genders), and hostsfile (a textfile list of host names). C and Perl libraries for detecting up/down nodes are also included in the package.
