Open Source Astronomy is a comprehensive collection of astronomy software packages built for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Each collection comprises approximately 5GB of software. An installation assistant is included along with a browsable documentation library covering all included packages.
Autodl2 is a simple to manage and extensible file transfer system that can be configured simply using a configuration file. The system is designed to be lightweight and handle multiple file transfer protocols. Currently only SFTP is supported, though other systems can be added via a plugin system.
Standard GUI Framework for C is a framework for building GUI applications in ANSI/ISO standard C in a platform independent (i.e. portable) manner. The framework currently only targets X11, but there are plans to target both Microsoft Windows (Win32) and Apple Mac OS X (Carbon) after the initial release is done.
MacSTL is a C++ source library which offers an implementation of std::valarray which is optimized for the SIMD instructions on PowerPC and Pentium processors. It runs from 3.6 to 16.2 times faster than hand-coded scalar loops. It also wraps the SIMD data types in an object-oriented package, allowing programmers to use familiar infix notation (e.g. v0 = v1 + v2).
The TeleAuth Client Tools are a set of Unix tools for the TeleAuth two-factor/two-channel authentication system. This includes a commandline client and a set of PAM modules. It also enables out-of-the-box two-factor authentication on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows machines. These tools can be used to integrate Web sites, VPNs, and other network services with TeleAuth. They are primarily written for the free Public TeleAuth Server.
Weplab is a tool to review the security of WEP encryption in wireless networks from an educational point of view. Several attacks are available, so it can measure the effectiveness and minimum requirements of each one. Currently, weplab supports several methods, and it is able to crack the WEP key from 600,000 encrypted packets.
