galleryscr.pl is a script that fetches images from an online gallery or local directory structure and creates a random image collage. It features inclusion or exclusion of specific images, random or sequential selection of images, and various output options. It can be useful for creating images for a screensaver.
The BioAPI Specification is intended to provide a high-level generic biometric authentication model, one suited for any form of biometric technology. It covers the basic functions of Enrollment, Verification, and Identification, and includes a database interface to allow a biometric service provider (BSP) to manage the Identification population for optimum performance. It also provides primitives that allow the application to manage the capture of samples on a client, and the Enrollment, Verification, and Identification on a server. This is the reference implementation of the standard.
cgrep provides many of the features of grep, egrep, and fgrep with enhanced performance along with many additional features. One of the most important features is the ability to output the context (surrounding lines) of the matching lines. The context window may be specified as a constant number of lines before and after the matching lines, by specifying beginning and ending delimiters, or various combinations thereof.
fpwdman manages a file of passwords that is accessed by one master passphrase. It can import and export password files and makes it possible for encrypted password files to easily be transferred across operating systems. It supports multiple password files, which could be used when a number set of system administrators share a site-wide file of passwords for common tasks, while each maintaining a file of personal passwords. It also exports and imports password files to and from plain text and optionally uses user-generated random entropy. The source includes two command lines tools to encrypt and decrypt: ensbc and desbc.
FCKosc puts a WYSIWYG HTML editor into OsCommerce's admin section in product descriptions, newsletters, and the main page. FCKosc is built on FCKeditor. This editor will work in IE 5.5+, Firefox 1.0+, Mozilla 1.3+, and Netscape 7+. FCKosc requires no changes to OsCommerce's database. Minimal changes were made to the files, which helps reduce the posibility of conflicts with other additions. FCKosc is easy to upgrade as new versions are released.
logmine.pl parses a Common Log Format (CLF) log file from a Web server and generates a report of the relationships between the countries, IP addresses, and URLs that were visited. Specific URLs and patterns may be specially excluded from the report. It also supports listing only hits from certain geographical locations.
XMMS Announcer is a simple utility that neatly prints the current track playing in XMMS. It has optional command line arguments that allow for more detailed information about the track. The unique feature is that it allows for an easily customizable output string format, which is done by using the -f switch on the command line.
