BibORB is a Web-based tool for managing bibliographies. It allows the sharing of bibliographies and provides an interface for editing references. It also eases the management of electronic versions (.ps, .pdf, etc.) of papers associated with your references. Classification is possible using groups, and search functions are included. BibTeX bibliographies can be imported, and selected references can be exported to BibTeX, Ris, and DocBook format.
Wikidbase is a powerful and highly flexible combination of two structural extremes of data management systems: a wiki and a database. As such, it has all of the flexibility of a wiki (e.g. any kind of unstructured data can be stored) and the structural data capabilities of a database (e.g. data may be modelled similarly to database fields, tables, and relations, such that structural reports can me made of that data). The functionality is combined in such a way that this general-purpose data management system may be shaped easily, without the need of a database expert, into a custom data management application such as a contact relation management (CRM) system, a knowledge base, a shared calendar system, a project management system, etc.
The goal of Tidydoc is to make documentation organization easier. It makes it easy to add documents to a repository, give them the right names, put them into the right directories, and reorganize them a posteriori. Then it can generate a set of HTML pages to browse your documents and a BibTeX file to reference them. Every operation can be done through a Web interface if you are running a Web server (or using the embedded lightweight server), and/or through command line scripts. This allows documents to be uploaded remotely using scp or any other file transfer program. Tidydoc is written in Python in a spirit of flexibility and easy tweaking, but its default behavior should fit the needs of most people.
Trac is an advanced tool for managing software development projects. It provides a simple wiki, an issue tracking system, and tight integration with the Subversion revision control system. Running PMwiki as a JumpBox allows you to be up and running with this software in minutes on any operating system. It carries other benefits such as portability across computing environments, a Web-based admin console to simplify administration, and a built-in automated backup system to protect your work.
Maarch is a DMS infrastructure dedicated to the legal archiving of high volumes of static documents. Unlike most DMS tools, it's a toolbox approach that allows one to build highly integrated custom applications. As a proof of concept, Maarch comes with two business applications: Maarch LetterBox for mail management and Maarch PeopleBox for HR document management.
ccHost is a Web-based infrastructure that may be used to host and allow for commenting, remixing, and distribution globally. The more installations of ccHost and its variations, the more content there will be available for enjoyment and artistic re-use in a sane and legal setting. ccHost is what is used for the infamous Creative Commons CC Mixter project which supports legal media sharing and remixing.
