srvx is a services package written in C from the ground up, for IRC networks that are based on IRCu 2.10.*. It is both highly efficient and extensible. Its features include Wingate, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 proxy detection, and all the standard services users expect (ChanServ, NickServ, OpServ, Global).
stardict-ed is a fork of StarDict (a cross-platform and international dictionary). It can be compiled with or without GNOME libraries (in the second case, it requires only GTK+). Another difference from stardict is that it uses libstardict for access to dictionaries, so it works a little faster.
Stegdetect is an automated tool for detecting steganographic content in images. It is capable of detecting several different steganographic methods to embed hidden information in JPEG images. Currently, the detectable schemes are jsteg, jphide, invisible secrets, outguess 01.3b, F5, appendX, and camouflage. Using linear discriminant analysis, it also supports detection of new stego systems. Stegbreak is used to launch dictionary attacks against JSteg-Shell, JPHide, and OutGuess 0.13b.
stream-db is a database-enabled version of streamcast, an MP3 file streamer for icecast/shoutcast servers. stream-db uses a database for the backend instead of perl data structures. The database holds song information, play queues, event logs and request logs. The aim the project is to allow people to create their own streaming media stations, with users, requests, song histories, and playlists and other such fun things.
strongSwan is a complete IPsec implementation for the Linux, Android, Maemo, FreeBSD, and Mac OS X operating systems. It interoperates with with most other IPsec-based VPN products via the IKEv2 or IKEv1 key exchange protocols. The focus of the strongSwan project is on strong authentication mechanisms using X.509 public key certificates and optional secure storage of private keys on smartcards through a standardized PKCS#11 interface. A rich choice of modular plugins adds additional features like Trusted Network Connect or advanced cryptographical algorithms.
The stx::CBTreeDB is a collection of C++ classes with which read-only key-value database files can be created and read. A database efficiently maps a large number of integral fixed-length keys to opaque binary value blobs. Variable-length or duplicate keys are currently not supported. Keys are organized into a highly compact index structure, which is very similar to a B-tree and allows very fast key lookups. Both keys and values are stored in order and thus queries in a local proximity can benefit from caching effects. All applications mapping a large number of constant, integral keys to string or data blobs can benefit from this library.
sud (superuser daemon) permits a user to switch to root privileges and to use a suid program in a nosuid environment. It is based on a client/server model and on the ability to pass file descriptors between processes. sud permits you to choose your authentication method, and your effective credentials will be checked by using a Unix domain socket.
