homeLANsecurity is a series of shell scripts for loading iptables firewall rules. The goal of these scripts is to provide an easy to manage framework for standard iptables rule sets. The scripts are well documented and are easily edited. It is primarily designed to operate on home or small office gateway Linux system, but the scripts can be easily adapted to protect an individual Linux server or workstation. homeLANsecurity's command set is written to support loading, clearing, saving, restoring, testing, and displaying of iptables rules. The configuration supports NAT, port forwarding of common services, TOS packet mangling, OpenVPN, Squid transparent proxy, IP address banning, adaptive banning, and connection tuning. Custom iptables rules are easily inserted without any editing of the scripts themselves.

Common Configuration Parser (CCP) is a program that reads configuration files and upgrades them. It takes an oldfile (typically the configuration file currently in use) and a newfile (typically the default new configuration file) and optionally a template (a file that describes how the generated configuration file should look) and merges the files into one, creating a new configuration file that has the changes made to the old file in addition to the new options included in the new file. It is completely independent of the program that created the configuration file, and can be used for many different purposes such as merging changes between an old user-edited configuration file and a .rpmnew file generated by RPM during upgrades.

IPv4/IPv6 DNS and DHCP config generator is a tool that can be used to generate DNS and DHCP configuration files from a central configuration file. It supports IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and reverse zones and multiple IPv4 networks, and generates one reverse DNS zone for each /24 network.
rdup is a utility inspired by rsync and the Plan9 way of doing backups. rdup itself does not backup anything; it only prints a list of the names of files that have changed since the last backup. It also handles files that are removed, allowing for correct incremental backups. Auxilary script that implement a backup strategy are included.
LLnextgen is a (partial) reimplementation of the LLgen Extended-LL(1) parser generator that is part of the Amsterdam Compiler Kit (ACK). It takes an EBNF-like description of the grammar with associated semantic actions in C as input, and generates C code. The generated code is strict ANSI C, so it should compile with all current C compilers.
