Server2Go is a self configurable Web server stack (Apache, PHP, MySQL, and Perl) that runs from any hard disk, USB stick, or even write protected media like CD-ROM. It has many features allowing the easy creation of Web-based CD-ROM software like catalogoues, calculation programs, computer-based training lessons, and so on.
mod-cidr is a way to perform hash lookups based on the inbound connection source in a network router style. This module is useful for geo-location or net block lookups. Information is set in the server headers retrieved from a CDB hash. Lookups are extremely fast since the CDB interface is very quick.
Tvheadend is a streaming server/relay supporing a variety of sources and multiple output formats. It is primarily intended to be used for receiving TV (DVB, Analog, IPTV) and to transmit it using a number of different output formats to subscribers. Together with powerful DVR (Digital Video Recorder) features, an advanced EPG and a web-interface it can be used as a TV distribution hub.
Synoptic is "GMail for your notes", meant to keep and categorize a large number of smallish notes and tidbits of information. Tagged overviews that retain order make it easy to maintain a good overview of your things. Adaptive tag clouds plus integration with browser bookmarks and forward/back navigation allow for easy navigation. Written in pure Python, it runs as a local Web server.
