mod_unzip is an Apache 2.0 module to transparently access files stored in ZIP archives. It is handy when multiple files that belong to the same context should be combined together without having to deal with a lot of files, such as HTML pages that contain images or articles that consist of multiple files. Access to files is very fast and the module does not create any temporary files nor does it load the whole archive into memory. It uses the external unzip program, which may cause a slight overhead due to a fork() operation for every file request from the ZIP archive.
mod_vhost_hash_alias is an Apache HTTPD module that allows mass hosting with good distribution across a unified directory namespace. Administrators no longer have to use complex regexps with mod_rewrite, since they can use mod_vhost_hash_alias to do a better job and use fewer resources. mod_vhost_hash_alias is a component of the VHFFS hosting platform which is used by the Web hosting provider Tuxfamily.org.
mod_vhs is an Apache 2.2+ Web server module allowing mass virtual hosting without the need for file-based configuration. The virtual host paths are translated from any database supported by mod_ldap or mod_dbd at request time from MySQL, LDAP, PAM, or a system password file. PHP security can be basically auto-configured from the database using this module. Requests are cached by mod_ldap when configured.
mod_xsendfile is a small Apache2 module that processes X-SENDFILE headers registered by the original output handler. If it encounters the presence of such a header, it will discard all output and send the file specified by that header instead, using Apache internals including all optimizations like caching-headers and sendfile or mmap if configured. It is useful for processing script output of PHP, Perl, or other CGI programs.
moosicWebGUI is a stand alone client program for controlling the moosic jukebox system. It implements not only basic basic player functions but also more sophisticated functions for manipulating the playlist. It incorporates a small Web server based on Python's SimpleHTTPServer library.
mp3cat reads MP3 files from standard input and writes them to standard output. By default, it omits any invalid MP3 data from the input when producing the output, and it features support for reading from and writing to an "mp3dir". mp3cat can be used to help implement an MP3 streaming server.
muhttpd (mu HTTP deamon) is a simple but complete Web server written in portable ANSI C. It supports static pages, CGI scripts, and MIME type based handlers. It drops privileges before accepting any connections, and can log received requests. It has been tested on OpenBSD, GNU/Linux, NetBSD, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Cygwin. It runs successfully on 32-bits, 64-bit, little endian, and big endian systems.
