Wheretero determines the country where the local computer is. This allows automatic keyboard layout configuration for live CDs. Network information is collected from DNS, DHCP, traceroute, GeoIpLookup, and Web IP address services. Information is scored and scaled. Wheretero prints its final decission as a two letter ISO country code, such as fi, de, fr, or us. Secondary choices are printed with probability estimations.
gxInstall is a software installer for Linux. It allows you to create installation packages that are self-extracting, support multiple languages, support uninstallation, create menu items and a desktop icon, and have an overhead size of only 50 kb. It has GUI (GTK 2) support, and is completely script-based, flexible, and easy to use. It does not use RPM, pkg, etc.
Sisopen is a tool to list and extract the content of SIS files. SIS files are installation files used in Symbian-based smartphones like many S60 Nokia phones. Sisopen is an ANSI-C program, mainly targeted at Linux and other Unix-like systems. It can be compiled on almost every system with a C compiler and zlib. Sisopen fully understand the SIS file format and is able to show conditionals, installation-time options, and much information about the SIS file, not just the file names.

W-Packager is a packager similar to dpkg that can be used by anyone to create and maintain Debian packages under Linux or other Unix systems. The aim of the project is primarily to have a workable version of a packager that can be compiled on many systems, including those that do not support fork(). At this time, W-Packager is used within UniGW. It can also be used under Linux.
