ClearLisp is a Common LISP interpreter written in C# with the purpose of scripting in a .NET or Mono environment. The ClearLisp language supports a large subset of CL and has an object model with generic functions, class and instance methods, properties, and import of existing .NET classes. ClearLisp executes LISP scripts in interactive mode or in Web mode (IIS; XSP or Apache with Mono). Sample ClearLisp code is provided in the form of a personal, file-based wiki Web application.
IPL stands for the Invocation Programming Language, a concurrent programming language described by Karl Fant in his book "Computer Science Reconsidered: The Invocation Model of Process Expression." This software comprises a C++ class hierarchy for representing language internals, a language parser, and a graphical editor and interpreter for experimenting with concurrent programs. In a sense, this is the software that could have been on a CD in the back of the book.
The XEVM is an XML processing engine. It's a multi-threaded, Pub/Sub environment for dynamic programming on an event-driven state machine with TCP communications, tight fault free memory management, powerful set algebra, and a magical database. It is 100% C++ (25,000 LOC), with a thin porting layer; there are implementations for POSIX (Mac/Linux) and Win32. The XEVM is for processing XEPL (the Xepl Engine Programming Language).
