Libporty provides a higher level API for some commonly used library functions such as sockets, date/time, file system access, background processes, and asynchronous DNS resolving. Libporty is configured using scconfig and the API is guaranteed to work the same way on all supported systems. An application that exclusively uses the libporty API will not require autotools/scconfig for porting. Libporty has been tested on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, multiple BSD variants, Minix, OpenSolaris, and some ancient Unix systems.
METAXPON ("Metachron" in Greek letters) is a small and fast audio DSP library for time-scale manipulation of 16-bit integer or 32-bit floating point stereo audio data streams. It employs a rigid phase-locked vocoder with dedicated transient detection and processing, and can work in real-time or non-real-time. Four editions are included - a portable edition and three x86 editions. The portable edition can be built with any ANSI C compiler and is OS- and architecture-independent. The three x86 editions are written in assembly using the FPU, 3DNow!, and SSE instruction sets, respectively, with automatic selection between them depending on the CPU capabilities. They can be compiled with MASM, JWASM, or NASM, producing libraries of object files in 8 formats.
SYINF shows in brief a system's CPU brand and model, RAM size, disk space, operating system, regional parameters, and current date and time. It can run in interactive (menu) or batch mode. There are two versions, in the C and C++ languages. They have been tested on 21 (15) compilers, 27 (26) operating systems, and 19 architectures. (Figures in parentheses are for the C++ version.) Both versions are conveyed in source code form only, each as a single ~35 KB source text file.
Class::EHierarchy is intended for use as a base class for custom objects. The objects need one or more of the following features: orderly bottom-up destruction of objects, opaque objects, class-based access restrictions for properties and methods, primitive strict property type awareness, and alias-based object retrieval.
autofwd is an automated firewalling daemon intended to block hosts performing unwanted acts. While it was designed to be used to thwart hosts running dictionary attacks on logins (of any service), it can be used for just about anything. The external commands it runs are configurable, allowing you to take additional actions against offending hosts such as running an nmap OS fingerprint before firewalling, or just silently logging the event.
The Paranoid modules provide a number of routines that are intended for use in strict and taint-safe scripts. The modules cover a variety of tasks from command-line argument parsing to process and network management. All of the modules use a debug trace framework for diagnostic output that is easily used and extended for application code as well.
