SILVERCODERS SqlSync gives you the ability to compare data stored in two SQL databases and synchronize it. The results contain a list of records that differ, records that are missing, and records that are additional. It can generate SQL queries to make the second database identical to the first, and can execute them automatically. It will synchronize selected objects in databases or whole databases. You can control the process using command line arguments, and the results are both readable and easy to use for future processing with shell scripts. A C language library allows comparing databases from other applications. PostgreSQL 8.1.x, MySQL 5.0.x, FirebirdSQL 1.5.x, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and Oracle 10g are supported. The two databases being compared can be driven by two different SQL servers.

CookieCheck is a basic PHP script for checking whether a visitor has cookies enabled or not. Its design makes it simple to include into an existing script: just include the source file and call the check function. CookieCheck preserves the values of any GET or POST information sent to your script, so it does not require any major modifications to your original script.

Location Source is an implementation of Java's Location API (JSR-179). It is intended to give Java applications access to location data on platforms that do not have a JSR-179 implementation of their own. It currently only runs on Windows Mobile using IBM's WebSphere Everyplace Micro Edition (WEME) 6.1.1 bu can easily be extended to run on other platforms. For example, you could use it on any laptop by tying it into SkyHook's Loci API.

D-BUS is a message bus system; a simple way for applications to talk to one another. It supplies both a system daemon (for events such as "new hardware device added" or "printer queue changed") and a per- user-login-session daemon (for general IPC needs among user applications). Also, the message bus is built on top of a general one-to-one message passing framework, which can be used by any two apps to communicate directly (without going through the message bus daemon).

Enchant is a cross-platform abstract layer for spell-checking. It is a meta spell-checking framework. It recognizes that different languages often require radically different tools and alogrithms to spell-check and correct. It also takes into account that systems often have a radical host of spell- checking software installed. It provides a standard C API/ABI for all of its backends, while allowing multiple backends to be loaded and used at once.

Generator is a command line application to facilitate the construction of small applications that need some database objects. It isn't a replacement for complex object persistence solutions, like hibernate or TopLink, but it covers a different target: the little Java Web applications that don't use sophisticated persistence options. Generator invocation is simple: just type java -jar generator.jar -xml, where the config file is an XML config file with the definitions to connect to the database and generate the bean classes. You can also use the Ant task.

SPFPM (Simple Python Fixed-Point Module) is a Python module which provides basic facilities for manipulating (binary) fixed-point numbers. The number of fractional binary digits is tunable, allowing near-arbitrary precision arithmetic. Arithmetic and mathematical functions such as sqrt, exp, log, sin, and cos are available.

Arachnida is an embeddable Web server. It uses the OpenSSL library and consists of a small framework for networking that allows you to asynchronously accept and handle connections using a "new connection handler" to handle new connections and a "data handler" to handle incoming data. This makes it possible to add support for any TCP/IP based protocol by just adding a handler. A test suite is included.

html2ps is a PHP equivalent of the popular Perl script by the same name that accurately converts HTML with images, complex tables (including rowspan/colspan), layers/divs, and CSS styles to Postscript and PDF. Unlike most other HTML2PS/HTML2PDF converters, it offers good CSS 2.1 support and is very tolerant to non-valid HTML. It can convert even CSS-intense sites like aol.com and msn.com.
