Perf4CDI is an add-on package for implementations of CDI (Contexts and Dependency Injection for the Java EE platform, also known as JSR-299) providing convenient integration with Perf4j, a performance monitoring library for Java applications. For basic usage, it's enough to annotate the profiling method in CDI-based applications. Many settings can be customized.
sphlib provides optimized implementations in both C and Java of cryptographic hash functions. The C code includes "small footprint" variants optimized for architectures with low L1 cache (e.g. WiFi routers running OpenWRT). The C code comes with a command-line tool that can serve as a drop-in replacement for md5sum, sha1sum, sha256sum, etc. for all implemented hash functions. The Java code is compatible with J2ME. There are implementations of fourteen "second-round" SHA-3 candidates, for all output lengths: BLAKE, Blue Midnight Wish, CubeHash, ECHO, Fugue, GrÝstl, Hamsi, JH, Keccak, Luffa, Shabal, SHAvite-3, SIMD, and Skein. Some pre-SHA-3 hash functions (including MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, RIPEMD-160, and others) are also implemented.
EO is a template-based, ANSI-C++ evolutionary computation library that helps you to write your own stochastic optimization algorithms quickly. Evolutionary algorithms form a family of algorithms inspired by the theory of evolution, and solve various problems. They evolve a set of solutions to a given problem in order to produce the best results. These are stochastic algorithms because they iteratively use random processes. The vast majority of these methods are used to solve optimization problems, and may be also called "metaheuristics". They are also ranked among computational intelligence methods, a domain close to artificial intelligence. With the help of EO, you can easily design evolutionary algorithms that will find solutions to virtually all kind of hard optimization problems, from continuous to combinatorial ones.
Assimp is a portable and extensible library designed for reading various well-known 3D file formats. It provides APIs for C and C++ and several wrappers for other languages. It reads more than 20 different 3D file formats (including Collada, 3DS, OBJ, LWO, and X) into a straightforward, hierarchical in-memory data structure that can easily be read and processed by applications. Several post processing steps can be applied, such as normal and tangent computations, index buffer, and vertex cache optimization. The library supports complex multi-layer materials and skinned meshes with multiple animations. A Windows-based viewer utility is provided as an implementation reference.
jWeb1T is an Java tool for efficiently searching n-gram data in the Web 1T 5-gram corpus format. It is based on a binary search algorithm that finds the n-grams and returns their frequency counts in logarithmic time. As the corpus is stored in many files, a simple index is used to retrieve the files containing the n-grams.
WhiteDB is a fast, lightweight graph/N-tuples shared memory database library with a focus on speed, portability, and ease of use. There is no server process. Data is read and written directly from/to shared memory. No sockets are used between WhiteDB and the application program. It supports indexes (T-tree), persistence through logging and memory dumps, concurrency through locking, limited queries (conjunctive only), JSON, CSV and RDF support, Python bindings, command line utility tools, and JSON REST tools.
