The modular syslog allows for an easy implementation of input and output modules. The modules that mantain compatibility with its precursor are included in the standard distribution along with four modules: om_peo (an implementation of PEO-1 and L-PEO, two algorithmic protocols for integrity checking), om_mysql and om_pgsql (modules that sends output to a mysql and postgresql database, respectively) and om_regex (a module that allows output redirection using regular expressions).
changetrack is a program to monitor changes to files. If files are modified one day, and the machine starts working incorrectly some days later, changetrack can provide information on which files were modified, and help locate the problem. Changetrack will also allow recovery of the files from any stage.
The Userfriendly Iptables Frontend is used to generate optimized iptables packet filter rules, using a simple description file specified by the user. Generated rules are provided in iptables- save style. UIF can be used to read or write rulesets to or from LDAP servers in your network, which provides a global storing mechanism. Its aim is to be an easy to configure, human readable packet filter.
amavis-notify-parser analyzes hostmaster notifications from Amavis and writes a logfile which records the type and origin of the viruses detected. It requires only a piped mail alias, a PHP4 CGI binary, and Amavis. McAfee uvscan and Sophos are supported as virus scanners. The logfile may be output in the qmailscanner format.
