Octaspire Crates! is a scriptable, skinnable, extensible, and relocatable 3D action puzzle game. All the missions, game entities (or crates), game states, and configuration of the game engine are implemented as plain text Lua-scripts. So, if you know Lua, you can write new game entities, game states, missions, and levels with any text editor, without any special development tools. New skins can be created with any image editor that can save .png images, dropped into a new subdirectory under the resources/textures directory, and changed in the configuration file config.lua. Crates has also its own (simple) implementations for all the different container classes it needs (like vector, string, and so on) to keep the external dependencies fewer.
The Apache Traffic Server (TS or ATS) is a modular, high-performance reverse proxy server, generally comparable to Squid. It was created by Inktomi, and distributed as a commercial product called the Inktomi Traffic Server, before Inktomi was acquired by Yahoo!. Traffic Server has been actively used inside of Yahoo for over 4 years, serving billions of requests every day. As of fall 2009, Traffic Server is an Open Source project, and in April 2010 the Apache Traffic Server was promoted to a top-level project of the ASF.
PropXX provides a property/configuration mechanism for C++ applications. Properties can be defined in files similar to but more flexible than Java properties. Property files are defined in a type-safe, modular way and offer the full expressiveness of the Lua scripting language. The design of PropXX combines flexibility with high performance for the C++ code that accesses property values. The property values are stored in objects of special property classes, which are automatically generated from the property set definitions. Performance-critical code can be inlined by the compiler, and a typical access to a property value is as cheap as reading a single variable from the memory. No costly data structures like hashes, balanced trees, etc. are involved.
Ditchers is a multiplayer action game where underground tanks use a variety of weapons to find and destroy each other. Tanks dig tunnels in the soil with a limited supply of energy that can be refilled only in homes (as well as health). the GUI is controlled mainly by mouse, while gameplay is controlled only by keyboard. It is not difficult to create your own maps or to draw your own tank. The game supports split-screen, network games, and artificial players whose intelligence is programmable in the Lua scripting language. The game is inspired by Tunneler.
