JWIM is a JavaScript window manager that allows programmers to load independent modules inside Web applications. It is totally AJAX based and does not make use of inner frames. Any module acts as an independent page, so it can display HTML, run JavaScript code, get access to HTML elements (in the same manner as document.getElementById does), and can be loaded multiple times. To achieve those features, modules have their own scope to store data and to run code. Modules can be loaded inside dynamically generated divs that behave like windows, or attached to HTML elements to build static layouts. Jwim is primarily intended to split large AJAX applications into small files that are loaded dynamically and run in an isolated environment.

pg-python provides access to Python from PostgreSQL. It contrasts with the built-in procedural language by interfacing with PostgreSQL types rather than converting them. This allows large instances of data types to be handled with greater efficiency while also allowing reasonable support for arbitrary data types without the need for a specialized implementation. Procedures are managed as entire modules so that initialization can be performed naturally by a stored procedure (each PostgreSQL function has a "main" entry point). Import statements may exist in a more natural position, and the "main" entry point may be decorated.

vu8 is a project that allows one to give JavaScript access to C++ classes and methods. The binding library is a header-only library that uses template metaprogramming extensively to make binding as easy as possible for the library user. vu8 also provides a library to add "vu8.load" to the v8 JavaScript context, which is a system for loading C++ plugins from shared libraries. Cmake modules are provided to make it easy to build C++ modules for use with "vu8.load". A binary is also provided for running JavaScript files in a context which has vu8 module loading functions provided.

Backshift is a deduplicating (variable-sized, content-based blocks), compressing (xz or bz2) backup program. Full saves and incrementals are pretty indistinct other than the amount of data transmitted, somewhat like with "rsync --link-dest" but without the huge number of hardlinks. It also de-duplicates large file content at a granularity of about 2 megabytes on average; there tends to be a unique copy of each file with size less than around 2 megabytes on average.
