RapidInsight is an integration, automation, and presentation suite for IT operations management. It brings the leading Web technologies into the IT management field, designed from the ground up as an open solution to minimize implementation time and the total cost of ownership and to maximize skill reuse. RapidInsight is typically used to integrate management information such as events, inventory, and tickets from disparate management systems and present to users through a simple, unified, consistent Web based user interface.
The WebReboot Plugin for Nagios is a suite of commands that can be used within Nagios to monitor a server and take corrective action if necessary via the WebReboot line of products. For example, the plugin can be used to alert you if a host is powered down, versus simply not responding to network requests. Likewise, it can be used to reboot a server if a host fails to respond to ping, or to shut down a server when a critical temperature threshold is exceeded. The commands can be mixed-and-matched with all existing Nagios commands, maximizing total network coverage.
lm_sensors provides essential tools for monitoring the temperatures, voltages, and fans of Linux systems with hardware monitoring devices. It contains a library for sensors access (libsensors), a command-line tool for sensor reporting (sensors), and a daemon (sensord). It also contains scripts for sensor hardware identification and fan speed control.
This is a package of programs for analyzing Linux memory usage. It is meant to replace the old "memstat", among other things. The program "vmarea" lists all the virtual memory in the system, showing you which processes and mmapped file caches are using it. "slabcache" summarizes Linux kernel working memory. The data comes from /proc.
The audit package contains the user-space utilities for creating audit rules, as well as for storing, searching, and generating reports from the audit records generated by the audit subsystem in the Linux 2.6 kernel and higher. It has a real-time plugin interface for event analysis and remote logging of events.
Ramon is an RMON2 network monitoring agent, as standardized in RFC-2021. There is a module suitable for loading into Net-SNMP via dlmod, so that the data generated by the agent is accessible. The following groups are functional: alHost, alMatrix, hlHost, hlMatrix, nlHost, nlMatrix, protocolDir, and protocolDist.
