MobileMesh is a collection of non-proprietary protocols and software tools which provide media independent mobile ad-hoc networking capability. The protocols have been documented in Internet Drafts and submitted to the IETF's MANET Working Group. These drafts are included in the software distribution. Each MobileMesh protocol is implemented as a separate software tool. A network visualization tool is also provided which displays the topology of the mobile ad-hoc network in real time.
EmSniff is an application that helps you to capture network packets. It differs from TCPDump in that it runs as a service instead of an application. This makes it possible to capture packets in the background. This can help applications like Wireshark to be more secure since they don't have to run with root privileges anymore. They only have to connect to the EmSniff server via libemsniff.
