NFSv4 specifies that the RPC calls be batched into a "compound" call. There is no support for this in RPCGEN. By rearranging the ONC IDL for NFSv4 into AutoGen definitions, these templates will emit the original IDL *plus* all the code to package, send, distribute, collect, return, and dispatch the results. The distributed program author merely needs to call and supply server procedures for the routines specified in the IDL. Templates for these calls and service routines is provided, too. The NFSv4 definitions are included.

Apmiser is a daemon that monitors the CPU usage patterns of your laptop and automatically switches between power-saving mode (in which the CPU is underclocked) and normal mode, depending on whether it thinks you will need the extra CPU speed. This lets you leave your laptop in it's power-saving state without having to suffer from poor performance when you need to perform a CPU-intensive task. Apmiser currently only supports IBM Thinkpads via tpctl, but support can be easily added for any laptop that supports switching power-saving modes programmatically.

Vit 70.34

XOTcl provides a highly flexible, reflective, component-based object oriented environment that integrates language support for high level object oriented concepts (which are not found in other languages) with reasonable performance. XOTcl is an extension of TCL and was derived from the impressive OTcl language developed by D. Wetherall and C. Lindblad at MIT in 1995 and extended in various ways. XOTcl's language constructs explicitly aim at the complexity in a component gluing layer that is not solved by traditional object orientation in the style of C++ or Java.
