Yet Another Component Assembler is between PicoContainer, Spring, Avalon, and Digester. It is a library to manage the creation, assembly, preparation, and activation of components and (optionally) their deactivation, disassembly, and destruction. It's not a container, but it includes a basic container (called DefaultContainer) in the my.yaca.helper package. It's not a Configuration Builder, but a builder (called EasyBuilder) is included in the my.yaca.helper package.
Jentchina is the client library part of "The Birds Lake" framework. It is independent of any graphical toolkit. Its role is to create the filter trees, to maintain them, and to propose an API that enables the application of a filter the easiest way possible (while remaining independent of any GUI). The Birds Lake is a big framework for applying a filter on a document using a remote filter server.
Lioubliou is a library part of "The Birds Lake" project. It is used to write filter servers. Lioubliou takes cares of filter sessions, registers servers in local database, and abstracts network messages. It supports CORBA via ORBit, but the design of the library can support other communication media later. It also abstracts lsmlib.
Quality Objects (QuO) is a framework for providing quality of service (QoS) in network-centric distributed applications. These applications range from embedded applications to wide area network applications, including many military and commercial applications. QuO bridges the gap between the socket-level QoS being specified, researched, and provided by a number of organizations and the distributed object level where many distributed applications are best written. QuO adds QoS to CORBA and Java RMI in a manner which is appropriate for creating applications that can adapt to environments that are unpredictable or have strict resource constraints.
AlchemySOAP is a fork of the EasySoap++ SOAP 1.1 library, adding enhanced protocol support (SOAP 1.2), a large number of automated unit tests and interoperability tests, multithreaded SOAP request handling, optional SSL/DOM, serialization improvements to work with WS-* protocols, and more features. AlchemySOAP can interoperate with a large number of third party SOAP stacks. It includes implementations of all SOAP 1.2 interoperability tests defined in "W3C Recommendation: SOAP Version 1.2 Specification, Assertions and Test Collection". This library is designed with speed and portability in mind. It has been tested on Win32 and Linux, but should work on most POSIX-compliant operating systems.
