Lua is a programming language originally designed for extending applications, but also frequently used as a general-purpose, stand-alone language. It combines simple procedural syntax (similar to Pascal) with powerful data description constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. It is dynamically typed, interpreted from bytecodes, and has automatic memory management, making it ideal for configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping. It is implemented as a small library of C functions, written in ANSI C, and compiles unmodified in all known platforms. The implementation goals are simplicity, efficiency, portability, and low embedding cost. It has been used on games such as World of Warcraft, FarCry and Angry Birds, among others.
NSC is a set of utilities for easy administration of DNS servers. You write very simple configuration files and NSC automatically generates zone files, reverse zone files, and configuration for the BIND. Among other things, it also supports classless reverse delegations and IPv6 addressing. NSC is written in POSIX shell and GNU M4, and it should run on all systems where these two languages are available. Generation of DNS daemon config files is currently limited to BIND 8 or 9, but it's very easy to add your own config file generators for other daemons.

SigLab is a calculator designed for working on signals. You can use it to load, save, or generate signals, and do various operations on and between signals (addition, log, abs, sin, filtering, convolution, fft, correlation, etc.). Signal parts are constantly displayed. SigLab was designed to be able to handle the results of simulations or measurements. It can handle signals with millions of points, keeping in memory a small piece of each signal. To keep good performance, it caches in memory signal portions. SigLab was specifically designed for Ptolemy users. It will start at the end of a simulation and show all asked signals.
Simkin is a scripting language for Java/XML. Simkin is designed to let your users control all or part of your Java application. They write scripts in a very simple scripting language which can be embedded in XML. The scripts can call down into the API you've exposed from your Java classes. You write the mechanism, your users write the policy.
