Evolvica is an evolutionary computation framework written in Java. The aim of the project is to provide a toolkit that enables developers to create genetic/evolutionary algorithms with minimal programming effort. The toolkit has a modular architecture and is highly extensible. It includes a visual algorithm editor, a source code editor, and a debugger.
ExactScan is a versatile document capture application for home offices and workgroups. It is designed from the ground up for high-speed document scanners and can easily handle hundreds of images per minute, including duplex scans. Included functionality reaches from managing, sorting, and editing singles pages to writing multi- as well as single-page PDF files including JPEG compression and TIFF, JPEG, JPEG2000, and PNG bitmap files. ExactScan allows performing state of the art image processing including automatic cropping, deskewing, dynamic thresholding for perfect black and white documents, and descreening print rasters.
FTIDOE is a comprehensive tool for performing the complex process of dynamic energy analysis. This software enables architects and engineers to perform a comprehensive analysis of dynamic heating and cooling loads, simulation of heating and cooling distribution systems, modeling of equipment supplying the required energy, and calculation of the life-cycle costs of owning and operating energy systems for buildings. It can simulate hour-by-hour performance for buildings ranging in size from a small one room residence to a large multi-storied structure for each of the 8760 hours in a year.
FTOOLS is a highly modular collection of over 200 utilities for processing and analyzing data in the FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) format. Each utility performs a single simple task such as the presentation of file contents, extraction of specific rows or columns, appending or merging tables, binning values in a column, or selecting subsets of rows based on a boolean expression. It provides both generic processing and analysis utilities and utilities specific to high energy astrophysics data sets used for the ASCA, EINSTEIN, ROSAT, GRO, VELA5B and XTE missions.
FDT is an application for efficient data transfers that is capable of reading and writing at disk speed over wide area networks (with standard TCP). It can be used to stream a large set of files across the network, so a large dataset composed of thousands of files can be sent or received at full speed, without the network transfer restarting between files. It is written in Java, runs an all major platforms, and is easy to use.
The FireCast Software Suite consists of the FireCast OS and FireCast ClientCenter and is designed to support every aspect of interactive kiosk and digital signage networks. FireCast OS is a Linux-based operating system integrated with a robust browser and video capability that provides the utmost in reliability, security, and functionality to designers, owners, and users of interactive kiosk and digital signage networks. FireCast ClientCenter is a Web-based system for remote management and monitoring of FireCast networks. It also provides capability to create and track advertising campaigns across the entire network of devices. It utilizes an intuitive interface that allows communication with individual devices and/or management by arbitrary nonexclusive groups.
Fiwix is an operating system kernel based on the Unix architecture and fully focused on being Linux compatible. It is designed exclusively for educational purposes, so the kernel code is kept as simple as possible for the benefit of students. It runs on the 32-bit x86 hardware platform, and is compatible with a good base of existing GNU applications.
FlagShip is a database development and porting system for moving xBase-based languages to Unix. It is a highly-optimized 4GL language, syntactically compatible to other xBase dialects like dBase, Clipper, Fox, etc. It is object oriented, but you don't need any OOP knowledge to use it. It supports the same code for DOS and Unix. It allows you to add C sources externally or inline in the program source, but does not require any C knowledge.
