UTM5 is a high-performance ISP billing software developed for small to large telecoms. The software is designed to control Internet access and voice over IP services. With UTM5, an ISP can charge subscribers per traffic volume or per connection time, set monthly caps or provide flat rates with dynamic bandwidth shaping, and do much more. UTM5 is a complete billing solution that includes a billing mediation platform, a rating engine, an invoicing subsystem, etc. It can interface directly with networking equipment.
Ideco Gateway provides the users of corporate networks with controlled and secure access to the Internet. It maintains a database of users of the corporate network. Proxymini is a proxy server that fully supports HTTP, HTTP CONNECT (for HTTPS and so on), SOCKS4 (TCP and TCP bind), and SOCKS5 (TCP, TCP bind, and UDP). It's designed to be small, and for being used in trusted environments where there is no need for complex or advanced options. Double-click on it and it will work immediately. It supports some options like the binding of a specific interface for incoming or outgoing connections, a custom port to bind (the default is 8123), and stdout and file verbose logging.
Apache's mod_rewrite provides methods to map values to attributes using the directive RewriteMap. One not so well known feature of mod_rewrite is to extend this functionality with internal functions, which can be defined in a seperate Apache module. mod_icpquery is an Apache-2.0/2.2 compatible module that extends mod_rewrite by internal RewriteMap functions. It sends out a request as a UDP query to a list of Unicast or multicast addresses. This query conforms to RFC 2186, also known as ICP, and can be handled by various HTTP-caching servers such as squid. A cache-server handling ICP should reply to an ICP query with an ICP response indicating if it holds the desired object in its cache or not. This information can be further processed by mod_rewrite using its superb regex rules.
Bip is an IRC proxy that supports replaying logged conversation and multiple clients on one IRC server connection. It has a handy logging directory structure. It is multi-user and has a flexible configuration. Some of its configuration can be changed at runtime with special IRC commands.
VideoCache is a squid URL rewriter plugin written in Python that traps the requests to Squid for various audio/video Web sites and caches the audio/video in the local storage on a proxy server for serving subsequent requests for the same audio/video. It caches the audio/video independently of Squid's caching system. The cached files are stored in a browsable fashion.
Quassel IRC is a modern, cross-platform, distributed IRC client, meaning that one or more clients can attach to and detach from a central core, much like the popular combination of screen and a text-based IRC client, but graphical. In addition to this unique feature, it aims to be a comfortable chatting program.
pwnat, pronounced "poe-nat", is a tool that allows any number of clients behind NAT gateways to communicate with a server behind a separate NAT with no port forwarding and no DMZ setup on any routers in order to directly communicate with each other. The server does not need to know anything about the clients trying to connect, nor does it need to communicate with any other hosts in order to initiate the communication. Simply put, this is a proxy server that works behind a NAT, even when the client is behind a NAT. There is no middle man, no proxy, no third party, no UPnP required, no spoofing, and no DNS tricks. More importantly, the client can then connect to any host or port on any remote host or to a fixed host and port decided by the server.
