Primrose is a game that presents a deep puzzle that is completely fresh. Primrose's gameplay is deceptively simple: Surround tiles of one color with another color to clear them. The surrounding tiles flip color, leading to possible chain reactions. Larger groups cleared and longer chain reactions are awarded more points. This simple setup has many interesting emergent properties, creating a challenging game without resorting to external gimmicks like time pressure. The game also features a world-wide online high score board complete with instant replay, move-by-move, of all top-scoring games.
Cradle of Persia is an engaging puzzle game where you build the mysterious heart of Ancient Persia. The original capital of the Achaemenid Empire was adored with luxurious metals, gems, and stone carvings that were set to impress peasants and visiting nobles alike. But its exotic gardens and the impressive architecture that once filled this place have long since vanished in the passing sands. Now you've got the chance to seek out the riddles of these ruins as you travel through the land of a thousand and one nights. To do this you will need skill and a keen wit, but the result - if you survive - will unlock a mystery never before seen by man, here in the Cradle of Persia.
5ball is similar to klines, but bigger (and meant for at least 1024x768 screen res.). It includes many options such as different board size, number of different colors, undo, different themes, etc. The object is to make a line of 5 like- color balls which will eliminate them from the grid. Score as much as you can before the grid fills. 3 new balls are placed randomly on the grid each time you move without making a line.
Bastet ("bastard tetris") is an ncurses Tetris clone which is harder than every other tetris released. It is based on a heuristics engine which tries to detect which block you need or don't need, and then gives you the blocks that you don't need. For instance, if you usually play by leaving long "canyons" one square wide and then waiting for the long "I" block, you'll have to wait till eternity before you see it. The heuristics have been worked on for some time and are quite nasty.
