Luach is a Hebrew calendar program that shows Hebrew dates, holidays, and halachic day times ("zmanim"). The Hebrew dates are obtained from libhdate and the times by Kosher Java's Zmanim API. Luach is similar to the Windows program "Kaluach", but is cross-platform and open source.
MemoVerse is a tool that helps you memorize Bible verses. It features a user customizable Bible verse profile and a "Practice mode" that lets the user enter the missing words in the verse, keeps track of the difficulty level achieved on a verse-by-verse level, prints verses on flash cards for offline study, allows one to memorize an entire passage or parts of a verse, and provides a timer that keeps track of how long it took to complete a given verse.
Alfanous is a Quranic search engine that provides simple and advanced search services in the diverse information of the Holy Quran. It is built on the foundations of modern search engines to ensure high stability and high-speed searching. It has features to help the user search like highlighting and suggestions. Alfanous is necessarily focused on searching in the Arabic language, and so it provides Arabic morphological analysis to allow users more liberty in the formulation of queries and also to increase the accuracy of the research and its comprehensiveness.
ITL itools is a collection of command line tools that mimics the development of the underlying ITL library (libitl) and is meant to always give the end-user simple means to access its functions. Available tools include ical (displays a Hijri calendar), idate (a multi-method Hijri/Gregorian date converter), ipraytime (a prayer times and Qibla calculator and schedule table generator), and ireminder (a prayer time reminder Perl script). This project is part of the Islamic Tools and Libraries project.
