The Cheap Matrix Package contains ready to use matrix and vector classes, optimized for minimum memory over speed. They were designed to have a natural syntax. It is possible to link with LAPACK, and utility functions. There is a framework for coding optimizers and building models, together with examples and documentation.
PARASOL is a C library for writing simulations of computer systems. It supports a simulated, user- configured, multiprocessor environment on which user-written software (in C or C++) is executed. The modeling paradigm is "execution based," permitting detailed models of software, including cooperating processes. Note that although it supports simulated networks of computers, PARASOL executes as a single process on a single machine.
zmeter is a serial interface for the RadioShack 22-812 digital multimeter. It listens to the specified serial port and prints the meter reading on standard output (stdout). It operates by waiting for data from the digital multimeter to appear on the serial port and then passing that data to a child process to be formatted and output. It was derived from slsnif with most of the interesting features cut out and a small amount of original code added to support the 22812 data format.
IMathAS (Internet Mathematics Assessment System) is a Web-based math testing and homework system. It is a light course/learning management system and testing system, similar to and inspired by WebWork and WIMS, and similar to textbook-bundled systems like iLrn and MathXL. It requires a browser with MathML and SVG support such as Firefox 1.5 or IE6 with plugins.
Wat2ions is complementary to DelPhi, the renowned solver of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation. The electrostatic potential map pre-computed by DelPhi is used to replace a certain number of the water molecules of the bath, surrounding a solvated macromolecule, with ions. The potential on the oxygens of the water molecules is estimated using a 3D cubic spline interpolation of the pre-computed potential. The waters with the largest potential are replaced with chlorides, and the waters with the smallest potential, with sodii. No two ions are placed closer than a certain distance to each other. The coordinates of the macromolecule, the water bath (except the replaced waters), and the placed ions are output to a new PDB file.
